From this September, Joan B Mirviss will unveil 'Tempest', an exhibition featuring the latest sculptures created by the artist Fujikasa Satoko (b. 1980). This exhibition marks the artist's return to New York after a four-year hiatus since her last solo show in 2019. Drawing inspiration from stormy seas and restless clouds, Fujikasa's new creations reflect the emotional turbulence she has eperienced in the past few years, a period of uncertainties but also of personal and artistic growth for the artist. Her meticulous coil-built sculptures made from the revered Shigaraki clay emerge as a testament to boundless artistic freedom. (14th September-20 October; 39 East 78th Street, 4th floor)
